45C8

45C8 Grade Introduction:

45C8 Carbon steels have carbon as the key alloying element in their composition. They also contain up to 0.4% silicon and 1.2% manganese. In addition, residual elements such as copper, molybdenum, aluminum, chromium, and nickel are present in these steels.

45C8 Grade Application:

  • Used for components like axles, bolts, and forged connecting rods.
  • Common in the manufacture of crankshafts, torsion bars, and light gears.
  • Suitable for guide rods, screws, and various forgings.
  • Applied in the production of wheel tyres, shafts, and agricultural tools such as sickles and axes.
  • Utilized for making knives, woodworking drills, and hammers.
